What Is The Abstract Competition?

AIMed UK’s Abstract Competition is open to all those who have truly innovative ideas about how artificial intelligence will transform the future of healthcare delivery.

Do you have an AI-inspired idea or theory that could make a real difference in medicine and healthcare? Are you doing a piece of research or undertaking work in this area?

If you have a completed piece of work, an idea in progress, or even an initial project plan related to one of our specialist categories, we want to hear from you!

Ability to submit entry and more information coming soon.

Judges

Accepted abstracts will be presented on 19th June 2020 and evaluated by a subset of the faculty speakers. Our judges for AIMed UK Abstract Competition are:

Dr Anthony Chang, Founder, AIMed and Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC)

Dr Dean Mohamedally, Principal Teaching Fellow, Software Systems Engineering Group, Department of Computer Science, University College London

Changavy Kajamuhan, Medical Student, Imperial College London

How do I enter?

Your abstract should be 300 words (maximum) and comprise of the following elements:

  1. Background and Problem
  2. Solution
  3. Methods*
  4. Results* / Preliminary Results* / Completed Works*

*Only if appropriate

All entries need to be received by no later than May 2020 (exact deadline to be confirmed). 

When is the deadline?

All entries need to be received by no later than May 2020. Exact date to follow.

WINNERS & PRIZES

Shortlisted abstract competition winners will be announced shortly after the deadline and notified by email.

All shortlisted abstracts will have the opportunity to deliver a poster or oral presentation during the conference. These presentations will be scored by our panel of judges.

All accepted abstracts will receive a free pass to the summit.

Each of the 6 x category winners (1 x winner per category) will receive a cash prize.

All approved and recognised abstracts received will be publicised on the AIMed website. 

Please note that those that enter abstracts (which meet the stated criteria) that are outside the shortlisted abstracts will be eligible to a discounted 40% off delegate rate.
