Dr Annabelle Painter is a NHS doctor and a digital health advisor. She studied Medicine at
Oxford medical school and has a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
Annabelle worked at Babylon Health as an AI Clinician where she deployed a triage chatbot to
an A+E setting in several NHS trusts and led the development of a covid-19 symptom checker.
Annabelle continues to practice as a GP registrar alongside working as an advisor to healthtech
start-ups. In August she will be starting an ‘AI & Workforce’ fellowship at HEE and NHSX which
will focus on preparing the healthcare workforce for the introduction of AI technology. She sits
on the Royal Society of medicine Digital Health council and co-founded the Digital Clinicians
Network- a community for healthcare professionals working within digital health.
