Dr. Melinda Hakim is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist in Beverly Hills, California. She graduated
Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University and received the John Harvard Scholarship–the top
academic scholarship at the university. She then attended the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, the
Doheny Eye Institute for her residency, and the Yale University School of Business for her education in
business management. She also completed a fellowship in refractive surgery at Cedars Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Hakim is the co-founder and CEO of Specialty Health Center, a hi-tech ophthalmology practice and
surgical center in Beverly Hills. In 2020, her practice was voted by “Destination LA” as the top
ophthalmology practice in the city of Los Angeles. She has received the “Excellence in Medicine Award”
by the American Medical Association, and the “Top Ophthalmologist Award” by Los Angeles Magazine,
the American Consumer’s Research Council, and the International Association of Ophthalmologists.

Dr. Hakim is a leader in advocating for physicians. She is the founder of a technology company called
DoctorCPR.com which used AI to match physicians with the best jobs. She was one of ten companies
selected by Google for a healthcare partnership and has over 35 corporate partners across the globe.
Dr. Hakim has organized the most well-attended networking events for physicians on the West Coast,
and is the administrator of the Los Angeles Physicians Facebook Group. Over the last decade, she has
been instrumental in introducing thousands of doctors to new cutting-edge technology for their
