Dr. Sibel Blau is a Medical Oncologist who has been in clinical practice since 2001 after completion of her Stem Cell fellowship at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. In addition to her work as a breast oncologist, Dr. Blau has taken leadership roles in developing breast cancer program of excellence in her region. She is very involved with clinical research programs as a PI and sub-PI on many clinical trials at Northwest Medical Specialties where she is the Medical Director for Hematology-Oncology division and is the head of the Precision Medicine program. She is one of the founding members and the President of the Quality Cancer Care Alliance Network (QCCA) that is a national organization for value based oncology care bringing quality care to the patients in their communities. She is the immediate-past President of Washington State Medical Oncology Society (WSMOS), and a member of All4cure as a Clinical Oncologist.
Dr. Sibel Blau received the Silver Certificate of Excellence by the National Cancer Institute. This award is granted to physicians who excel in enrolling qualified patients into NCI trials over the last 3-years, Dr. Blau had the 2nd highest enrollment over that time period. This demonstrates a steadfast commitment to research and to bringing the latest in therapies to our oncology patients at NWMS.
